Footlik Scholarship Awarded for 2013-14

Industrial Technology and Management Programs (INTM) is pleased to announce the 2013-14 award of the Irving M. Footlik Scholarship. Two incoming INTM students were chosen for the scholarship: Xavier Murphy, a transfer student from Moraine Valley Community College, and Christopher Usatuck, a transfer student from College of DuPage. The scholarship covers 50% tuition for two courses during the first year of attendance. The award was presented at a recent luncheon by Sylvia Footlik and her son, Robert B. Footlik (IE ’68), on behalf of the Irving M. and Sylvia Footlik Foundation. The award marks the fifth year of Footlik Scholarships for INTM students.

This endowed scholarship was established in memory of Irving M. Footlik (ME ’39), a dedicated and involved IIT alumnus who, together with his wife Sylvia, gave time, attention and financial support to multiple campus initiatives and student projects. The scholarship benefits students who obtain practical training at a community college and transfer to IIT to pursue the Bachelor of Industrial Technology and Management (BINTM).
