Fund Searching Services Team Announces Crafting a Strong Research Proposal Workshop

Learn how to craft a strong research proposal on Friday, October 9, 2015 from 11 a.m.-12:30 p.m. in Stuart Building Room 112J. Proposal writing is not at all like academic writing. Researchers must use a variety of techniques to ensure a proposal has the best chance of being read, scoring high, and getting funded. In this workshop you will learn ways to create a strong proposal while avoiding common pitfalls. Learn to craft a proposal that’s truly cutting edge. This includes knowing how to show all the references and citations that prove you have a solid grasp of your field. A librarian from Illinois Tech’s Paul V. Galvin Library will present an overview of the resources that can help you prove your case.

The workshop is intended for Illinois Tech faculty and staff. To reserve a spot, email Mariam Othman at mothman@iit.edu. The room accommodates  20 participants; walk-ins are welcome as space permits. There is no fee for this workshop, which is provided as a service of the IIT Office of Research Compliance and Proposal Development (ORCPD).
