Global Entrepreneurship Week Features Events at Chicago’s 1871 and on Main Campus

Global Entrepreneurship Week (GEW), November 18 – November 22, 2013, is the world’s largest celebration of innovators and job creators who launch startups that bring ideas to life, drive economic growth and expand human welfare. IIT is proud to host many activities on campus and throughout Chicago in celebration of this inspiring week.

Faculty, students and alumni are invited to join President John Anderson at 1871 on Monday, November 18, 2013 from 6-9pm for a program featuring a panel of young alumni entrepreneurs discussing their innovations and behind-the-scenes stories of their startups. Hazem Dawani (CPE ’01), Tarek Fadel (LAW ’03), Rich Komaiko (LAW ’12) and Zahra Tashakorinia (M.S. DSGN ’12) will serve as panelist for this discussion.

On Friday, November 22, 2013, view the culmination of student teamwork at Fall IPRO Day in Hermann Hall from 9am – 3pm.

End the week with the finale on Friday, November 22, 2013 from 11am-1pm in the McCormick Tribune Campus Center Ballroom. This event will feature networking opportunities and guest speakers. Register here.
