As the partial federal government shutdown comes to an end, decisions will be made regarding next steps for outstanding proposals and awards related to higher education. Some federal websites have not yet been updated.

National Institutes of Health: IIT has not yet received any word yet regarding the status.  As of Thursday morning (October 17, 2013) the eRA Commons system is still down.

National Science Foundation: The NSF systems are up and running as usual. No decisions have been made regarding missed proposal deadlines or panels. If you have a progress report which is now past due, please submit as soon as possible since this could affect any of your future proposals.
