Great Minds in STEM Seeks College Captains for Upcoming Viva Technology Programs for K-12 Students

Great Minds in STEM, an educational non-profit based out of Los Angeles, California that brings a full day of hands-on activities to K-12 students with an emphasis on science, technology, engineering, and math (STEM), is seeking IIT students to serve as College Captains in upcoming Viva Technology programs for K-12 students in the Chicago area.  College Captains will work with the local young community and guide them through science and math related hands-on activities, and have the opportunity to networking with potential employers and exploring possible career opportunities.

With the help of recruited College Captains from surrounding universities, Great Minds in STEM provides “near peer” role-models for the k-12 students who participate in the program.  As a College Captain, you will have the opportunity to give back to your community by sharing your college experience.  Great Minds in STEM provides College Captains with a $100 stipend, which can be distributed individually or pooled together as a fundraiser for student organizations.  The Viva Technology Programs are sponsored by The Motorola Foundation.
