Dear Illinois Tech Community Members,

The Chicago White Sox are scheduled to host an American League Division Series game at Rate Field on Wednesday, October 7, beginning at 3 p.m.

Due to the anticipated attendance and increased activity surrounding Rate Field, members of the Illinois Tech community should expect heavier than normal traffic in and around campus, particularly during the afternoon commute. Area road closures and changes in traffic patterns may also affect travel to and from campus.

Campus Parking

Illinois Tech parking lots remain reserved for authorized campus parking. Please allow for additional time when arriving on or departing campus and be mindful of the increased pedestrian and vehicle activity throughout the area.

Illinois Tech Public Safety will provide additional support during the event period. Please report traffic or safety concerns to Public Safety at 312.808.6300.

We appreciate the campus community’s understanding during this period of increased traffic and activity. Additional postseason games may result in similar traffic impacts. Any significant updates will be communicated appropriately.

Sincerely,

Illinois Tech Public Safety
