Help Connect Students with Employers

Each of us at Illinois Tech can make a difference in the lives of our students—and connecting students with career opportunities is an important way to contribute. The spring 2018 career fairs will take place on Wednesday, February 21 and Thursday, February 22 divided by company industry as outlined below.

If you have friends, family, or other acquaintances in relevant fields, please send them an email and help us spread the word. You can share this Employer Career Fair flyer. And, as we all know, the personal message is often most meaningful in a world of full inboxes and impersonal “asks.” Don’t be afraid to customize your email or share a story about what makes our students and alumni strong candidates. Collaborative efforts to connect our students with meaningful employment will also put us on track to exceed the AITU placement average for all graduates.

Career Fair Details:

February 21: computer science, information technology, business services, government organizations, non-profits, military, and search firms

February 22: engineering, industrial technology, architecture, and natural sciences

*Recruiters seeking to hire architecture students have the option of a booth in Hermann Hall, S. R. Crown Hall, or both locations.

Some FAQs

  • What if the career fair doesn’t seem like a good match? No problem – we have a variety of other recruitment and engagement options to choose from. Share our website or put individuals in touch with Deborah Young (dyoung6@iit.edu).
  • What if I get work authorization questions or concerns regarding who companies can hire? We have that covered. Send them here.
  • I might know someone who can be a pipeline for jobs for our students, but I’m not sure. Companies that want to build a strategic outreach plan and have general questions can contact Jerry Doyle, vice provost, Career Services, at doyle@iit.edu.

Thanks for thinking of our students and graduates and sharing with your networks.
