Students participating in the High School Ethics Bowl

The Center for the Study of Ethics in the Professions congratulates students from Nicholas Senn High School, Oak Park and River Forest High School, and Pritzker College Prep for taking part in Chicago’s first High School Ethics Bowl. The students took part in two rounds where they discussed issues ranging from teens’ right to privacy when using social media to the ethics of using stimulants off-label for a boost when taking standardized tests.

CSEP is looking to plan an official Regional High School Ethics Bowl for the Chicago area in January of 2016 (date to be determined). Winners of this competition will have the chance to take part in the National High School Ethics Bowl competition in late April 2016 at the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill, and compete against the top high school teams from around the country.
