IIT Campaign Video Wins 2013 CASE Circle of Excellence Grand Gold Award

“What Can’t We Do?,” the inspirational video describing Fueling Innovation: The Campaign for IIT, garnered Illinois Institute of Technology a 2013 CASE Circle of Excellence Grand Gold Award in the Fundraising Video category.

The video details some of the world-changing innovations of IIT students, alumni, and faculty, including Marty Cooper (EE ’50, M.S. ‘57), grandfather of the cell phone. Using a “beat poetry” approach, the narrator’s unique style draws the viewer in and makes the campaign’s message clear: IIT students, faculty, and alumni have a passion to go beyond the ordinary and impact the world through innovation.

The video, produced by Madhouse, has had more than 10,000 views since its premier in February, in conjunction with the launch of the Campaign for IIT.

CASE—the Council for Advancement and Support of Education—is an international, professional association serving educational institutions. CASE helps its members build stronger relationships with their alumni and donors, raise funds for campus projects, produce recruitment materials, market their institutions to prospective students, diversify the profession, and foster public support of education.
