IIT Chicago-Kent Law Library Invites You to Take A New Look At Some Classic Holiday Movies

Wondering how you can possibly watch “Miracle on 34th Street” or “Home Alone” for the 145th time? Why not look at the legal issues involved in some of your favorite (or much-watched) holiday movies? The IIT Chicago-Kent Law Library Blog has shared a list compiled by the Library of Congress of holiday movies and movies that take place during the holidays.

Each has a legal issue involved. Some are obvious like the commitment proceedings in “Miracle on 34th Street” Others lurk in the details: Could Kevin legally be left home by himself in “Home Alone”? You don’t have to be a law student or legal scholar to give them some thought.
