IIT Chicago-Kent Staff Attorney Matthew Daniels is Honored by the Chicago Appleseed Fund

IIT Chicago-Kent staff attorney Matthew M. Daniels ’07 was honored by the Chicago Appleseed Fund for Justice in recognition of his pro bono service to the organization. The award was presented in October during the Chicago Council of Lawyers and Chicago Appleseed Fund’s 2013 Annual Luncheon.

Since 2007, Daniels has been a staff attorney in the Law Offices of IIT Chicago-Kent, where he concentrates his practice on criminal defense litigation. He has clerked at Sedgwick, Detert, Moran & Arnold LLP and has served as a research assistant at the American Bar Foundation.

Daniels completed his undergraduate education at Knox College and earned his J.D. from IIT Chicago-Kent with a certificate in Litigation and Alternative Dispute Resolution in 2007.

Daniels, a member of the Chicago Council of Lawyers board of governors, has worked on various programs with both organizations. Most recently, he has worked on a project to prevent recidivism among nonviolent repeat offenders by addressing drug abuse and mental health issues.
