The IIT College of Architecture will be hosting the 30th National Conference on the Beginning Design Student (NCBDS) in Crown Hall Friday, April 4 and Saturday, April 5, 2014. Educators from architecture and design schools across the nation will gather to present papers and discuss issues related to beginning design in response to this year’s conference theme “Materiality: Essence and Substance.” Please see the conference website for more information.

Bolle Tham & Martin Videgård (of Tham & Videgård Arkitektur, Stockholm, Sweden – www.tvark.se) will be delivering the keynote lecture on Friday, April 4, at 6:30 pm in Crown Hall. The keynote lecture is open to the public and all are welcome to attend.
