Learn how to craft a strong research proposal on Friday, March 27, 2015, from 11:30 a.m.-1 p.m. in Siegel Hall, Room 237. Proposal writing is not at all like academic writing. Researchers must use a variety of techniques to ensure a proposal has the best chance of being read, scoring high, and getting funded. Learn ways to create a strong proposal while avoiding common pitfalls. Learn to craft a proposal that’s truly cutting edge. This includes knowing how to show all the references and citations that prove you have a solid grasp of your field. A librarian from Illinois Institute of Technology’s Paul V. Galvin Library will present an overview of the resources that can help you prove your case.
This workshop is intended for Illinois Tech faculty and staff. To reserve a spot, email Mariam Othman at mothman@iit.edu. The room accommodates 25 participants; walk-ins are welcome as space permits.
