The Illinois Institute of Technology Motorsports team will display an electric formula-style race car at the 2014 Chicago Auto Show which opens to the public from Saturday, February 8-Monday, February 17 at the McCormick Place in the South Hall, Booth 47 (near the Subaru exhibition).

Designed initially as part of a Formula Society of Automotive Engineers (SAE) student design competition, this car features innovative technologies such as hub-mounted in-wheel direct-drive motors, four-wheel independent electric drive and passive phase change material cooling for high-voltage systems. The vehicle has a zero to 60 miles per hour acceleration rate of 3.2 seconds.
