The next IIT Online Brown Bag discussion session will take place from 12:45-1:45 p.m. on Thursday, October 16, 2014 at the IIT Online Offices in Stuart Building, Room 103 on Main Campus.
Brad Katz, IIT Online Associate Director of Instructional Design and Technology, and Lauren Woods, IIT Online Director, will lead a discussion about the differences between blended or hybrid programs and courses, which combine traditional, face-to-face classroom activities with distinct online work for all students, and blended or hybrid audiences, in which all students participate and engage with the same course (i.e., same course, same term, same syllabus, etc.) but are in different locations (i.e., in a physical classroom or remote location).
This session for faculty and staff is intended to be an open and lively discussion, with an understanding that the topics under consideration are critical to understanding some of the anticipated evolution of IIT Online.
Please RSVP by Tuesday, October 14, 2014 to bkatz2@iit.edu. Light refreshments will be served for onsite attendees.
IIT Online will provide a remote, Internet participation option via Collaborate.
