IIT Oxfam Hunger Banquet

One in seven people goes hungry. But hunger is not about too many people and too little food. Our rich and bountiful planet produces enough food to feed every woman, man, and child on earth. Hunger is about power. Its roots lie in inequalities in access to resources. The results are illiteracy, poverty, war, and the inability of families to grow or buy food.

At this interactive event, the place where you sit, and the meal that you eat, are determined by the luck of the draw—just as in real life some of us are born into relative prosperity and others into poverty.

Please join us for this powerful and eye-opening event on January 25, 2013 from 4-5:30pm in the MTCC ballroom. Please RSVP here.
(The event is free, but it’s important for us to have a headcount.)
