Sodexo Servathon a Success

The Sodexo Servathon is a global effort, as is Sodexo’s worldwide STOP Hunger program. This year 40,000 employees in 35 countries around the world joined in Servathon, participating in efforts that included donating and serving meals; sharing Sodexo expertise by providing nutrition, hygiene, food waste, and food safety education; collecting and donating non-perishable food; and fundraising through efforts such as product promotions, coin collections, and golf tournaments. Teams from all of Sodexo’s client segments participated in activities and employees worked to engage entire Sodexo communities, including clients, suppliers, and community members, making this year’s Servathon the most successful to date.

In the United States, 35,000 employees were involved, volunteering countless hours, serving more than 22,600 meals, and raising more than $53,405 to fight hunger throughout the country. Additionally, even more money was raised this year thanks to vendor partner French’s Foodservice, which developed two cause promotions during Sodexo Servathon in support of Sodexo Foundation’s mission to end childhood hunger.

At IIT, Sodexo hosted the RTW Vet Center Dinner and fed more than 100 members of the community and provided monetary donations with every purchase of a Hawk Chocolate and Astor Chocolate Bar from Global Grounds. Also, the IIT community donated canned goods during the “Helping Hands Across America” canned food drive.

Thank you to everyone who joined efforts and helped to make a difference in the lives of thousands of hungry men, women, and children.
