IIT placed among the top six student teams competing in the Up To Us national competition which is a challenge designed to give student leaders a voice regarding fiscal issues. The team was recognized for its work in the extended reach category (reaching individuals beyond the students on campus).
IIT will receive a prize of $2,500 and be recognized at the Clinton Global Initiative University meeting which will be held March 21-23, 2014 at Arizona State University in Phoenix.
The Up To Us competition is sponsored by the Peter G. Peterson Foundation, in partnership with the Clinton Global Initiative and Net Impact, to provide an opportunity for students to build a movement to raise awareness and engagement on America’s long-term fiscal and economic challenges.
