The 2014 National Survey of Student Engagement (NSSE) will launch at IIT on Tuesday, February 11, 2014. First-year and senior undergraduates will receive an email invitation from Christopher White, Vice Provost for Academic Affairs, containing a link to the survey. NSSE is a national, web-based survey designed to capture students’ perception of their undergraduate experiences. The results of the survey provide IIT faculty and administrators with information to help them improve IIT’s academic and overall student experience. In appreciation for sharing their insights, students who complete the NSSE survey will be entered into a drawing for a $50 Best Buy gift card. A total of 12 gift cards will be given away, and a student’s chance of winning one is estimated to be about one in 36, based on last year’s survey participation. More information about NSSE is available from their website. Questions about how the survey will be conducted at IIT and how the results will be used should be directed to Christopher White at whitec@iit.edu.
