Illinois Institute of Technology President John Anderson Is Appointed to the National Science Board

anderson_stickyIllinois Institute of Technology President John L. Anderson has been appointed to the National Science Board by President Barack Obama. The appointment was announced on Friday, June 13, 2014. Anderson will serve a six-year term beginning in August 2014.

The National Science Board serves as the governing body for the National Science Foundation and as policy advisors to the President of the United States and Congress regarding matters related to science and engineering and education in science and engineering. In addition, the National Science Board also publishes policy papers or statements regarding issues of importance to science and engineering.
