Thursday, February 21, 3–4:30 p.m.; John T. Rettaliata Engineering Building, Room 124
Mental health issues on college campuses continue to increase across the country. This workshop will provide you with information regarding the most common mental health issues college students face today and how those issues may manifest in student behavior. The workshop will also briefly review Autism Spectrum Disorder, how it may affect a student and strategies to work successfully with a student living with ASD. The workshop will review strategies to help you respond to a student in distress, outline university and Student Health and Wellness response protocols to streamline access for a student to professional services, and provide you with an understanding of how to respond to a student in distress or crisis.
