Illinois Tech Students Participate in IEEExtreme Programming Competition

Two teams from Illinois Tech competed in IEEExtreme, a 24-hour online programming competition, on October 21–22. The competition is organized by IEEE (Institute of Electrical and Electronics Engineers) worldwide. A team that included Aditya Parakh, Aqueel Miqdad, and Javier Sorribes were the top scorers within the Chicago region and will receive a prize from IEEE’s Chicago Section.

The team was also third in the Midwest, 27th in the United States and 335th worldwide (out of 2500+ teams, although only 1,800 scored points). The other team representing Illinois Tech, led by IEEE@IIT’s president Brandon Dotson placed 18th in the Midwest. Full rankings are available here.
