Four NAIA National Tournament teams are on the 2012 women’s soccer schedule. The Chicagoland Collegiate Conference (CCAC) will be tough again as all four NAIA tournament teams come from the CCAC. The Scarlet Hawks finished fifth in the CCAC last season and will look to improve their standing this year.
Illinois Tech opens the 2012 season on the road versus Grace College on August 18. The Scarlet Hawks will host Indiana Tech in the home season opener on August 25. The Tech women host St. Mary’s College on September 2.
The Scarlet Hawks travel to Arizona for a match up with Arizona Christian in Phoenix on September 7. The road trip culminates with a game at Embry Riddle on September 8.
The Scarlet Hawks travel to Bethel College on September 15. IIT defeated the Pilots 3-0 last season. Illinois Tech’s final non-conference test is a home match-up with Taylor University on September 19.
Illinois Tech opens its CCAC schedule with a home match versus Holy Cross College on September 22 during Homecoming weekend. The Scarlet Hawks defeated the Saints 3-0 last season.
The Tech Women travel to 2011 conference champion Judson on September 26. The Scarlet Hawks will look to avenge a 4-1 defeat to the Eagles. Matches with conference new-comer Roosevelt (home, September 29) and Cardinal Stritch (away, October 2) are up next on the slate.
The Scarlet Hawks travel to 2011 conference champion Olivet Nazarene and St. Francis on October 6 and 10. Tech dropped a 2-1 decision at ONU and earned a 2-1 win over St. Francis at home.
Illinois Tech will host 2011 NAIA tournament participant Trinity Christian on October 13 and welcome St. Xavier to Stuart Field on October 16. The Scarlet Hawks dropped a tough 2-1 decision to TCC and took down SXU 3-0 last season.
2011 NAIA tournament participant Robert Morris hosts the Tech women on October 20. The Scarlet Hawks split two games with RMU last season. The conference home schedule finishes with a visit from Trinity International on October 24. TIU and IIT tied 1-1 last season.
The CCAC regular season schedule ends with a trip to Calumet on October 27. The Scarlet Hawks downed the Crimson Wave 4-2 in 2011.
