Jeremy Alexis Appointed IPRO Director

A Message from the Vice Provost for Undergraduate Affairs

I am pleased to announce that effective immediately, Jeremy Alexis has been appointed Director of the Interprofessional Projects Program (IPRO) at Illinois Institute of Technology. As IPRO Director, Jeremy will be responsible for all aspects of the IPRO Program and the Idea Shop. Jeremy will play an important role in taking IPRO to the next level as part of the university’s strategic plan on distinctive education.

Jeremy Alexis was most recently a senior lecturer and the assistant dean of IIT’s Institute of Design. Jeremy has also served as the lead instructor for IPRO 397, an interprofessional undergraduate class at IIT that teaches design and innovation methods to students from all of the colleges at IIT. He holds both a Bachelor of Architecture and a Master of Design from the Illinois Institute of Technology.

Jeremy is a frequent presenter on design decision making for the Design Management Institute. Before joining the Institute of Design as a full-time faculty member, Jeremy worked for Doblin, Gravitytank, and Archideas. He has recently worked on research projects with clients such as Anheuser-Busch InBev, Hyatt, Yahoo, Nestlé Purina, SAP, Memorial Sloan-Kettering, and the City of Chicago.

John Welin: Idea Shop Lab Manager
Rima Kupryc: IPRO Coordinator

April Welch, formerly the Idea Shop Director of Business and Educational Planning will join me in my new role as Vice Provost of Admissions and Financial Aid starting June 1st.
