Jesse Kraai,a 1994 Shimer College  graduate, will lead a discussion and offer a reading from his novel “Lisa, A Chess Novel”  from 5:30-6:30 pm on Wednesday, January 22, 2014 at Shimer College’s Cinderella Lounge.

Kraai holds a doctorate degree in Philosophy from the University of Heidelberg and taught at St. John’s College before becoming an international chess grandmaster. His first book, a chess novel, has been receiving rave reviews. The book trailer can be seen on his website.
