Join Fast to Feed and Help Chicago Homeless and Hungry Residents

The Office of Spiritual Life and Service Learning and the Muslim Student Association are inviting faculty, staff and students to participate in Fast to Feed, an annual event supporting the homeless and the hungry.

This event takes place on Monday, July 21, 2014. Everyone is invited to participate. Click here to rsvp.

Participants are invited to fast for the day and then break the fast with the Muslim community at 7:30 pm in the Hermann Hall Ballroom and enjoy international cuisine. Participants can not eat anything from dawn to sunset, but are allowed to drink (if this is your first time).

The goal of this event is to learn to be more charitable by experiencing the hunger faced by people around you. The event is free, but donations will be accepted on behalf of the Greater Chicago Food Depository. Click here to make online donations.

All proceeds will be going to the Greater Chicago Food Depository.

For more information, email the Muslim Students Association at msa@iit.edu or Lynne Marie Meyer from the Office of Spiritual Life and Service Learning at lmeyer2@iit.edu.

This event reflects the values expressed in IIT’s Diversity Statement and is intended to promote diversity at IIT.
