Join the Mies van der Rohe Society for the annual Mies Birthday Party Celebration on Thursday, March 22.

This much-anticipated annual party in honor of Mies van der Rohe’s birthday, sponsored by the Mies van der Rohe Society, will feature an evening celebrating the pedagogy of Mies: visual training, collages, and space models. This exhibition — curated by Mies’ students Arthur Takeuchi (B.ARCH ’54, M.S. ARCH ’59), San Utsunomiya (B.ARCH ’54), Kristin Jones (B.ARCH ’95, Ph.D. ARCH ’16), and their students — celebrates Mies’ legacy and provides for the preservation of these original drawings, collages, and models.

Tickets are $50 per person. A $125 per person option includes a ticket plus one year membership to the Mies van der Rohe Society at the Concrete ($100) level. Illinois Tech students are admitted at no cost.
