Kaplan Institute Pitch Competition Coming Up on Friday, April 21

The Ed Kaplan Family Institute for Innovation and Tech Entrepreneurship’s annual Kaplan Pitch Tank competition is coming up from 1 p.m. to 5 p.m. on Friday, April 21, at Tellabs Innovation Alley in the Kaplan Institute.

This event celebrates the entrepreneurial efforts of Illinois Tech students, with 10 student-led startups showcasing their innovative ideas in the Audience Choice Competition. Last year’s Grainger Computing Innovation Prize winner, Baro, will be one of them! You’ll have the chance to vote for your top three favorite teams, witness cutting-edge solutions, and network with other computer science students and members of the entrepreneurial community.

The top 5 finalists will pitch their businesses to a panel of real investors and entrepreneurs! With $50,000 in prizes to be awarded and a special keynote presentation from Kaiwei Tang, creator of The Light Phone, the stakes are high. Don’t miss out on this exciting opportunity to network, connect with fellow computer science students, and get inspired by some of the most promising startups at Illinois Tech.
