King College Prep Seeks Illinois Tech Students to Serve as Tutors

Dr. Martin Luther King, Jr. College Preparatory School is looking for qualified Illinois Tech students to volunteer to assist with after school tutoring through the end of the spring 2017 semester.

Tutors are sought for the following subjects;

  • Math: Algebra, Geometry, Algebra II with Trigonometry, and Precalculus
  • Science: Biology, AP Biology, Chemistry, Physics, AP Physics and Anatomy
  • Language: French
  • Reading, Writing, and Grammar: English I (Survey of Literature), English II (American Literature), Junior Year English, World Literature, World Studies, and U.S. History

Dr. Martin Luther King, Jr. College Preparatory School is a public, four-year selective enrollment magnet high school. Tutoring sessions will be held Monday through Thursday from 3:30–5:30 p.m. and Fridays from 3:30–4:30 p.m. at the high school campus (4445 South Drexel Boulevard in Chicago’s Kenwood neighborhood, about two miles from Illinois Tech’s Mies Campus).
