Last Day to Submit a Nomination for the Abraham Lincoln Civic Engagement Award

Today (Friday, October 14) is the last day to nominate a student for the Abraham Lincoln Civic Engagement Award. The award honors an outstanding senior from each of the four-year degree granting institutions of higher learning in Illinois.

In the spirit of Lincoln, Student Laureates are honored for their leadership and service in the pursuit of the betterment of humanity and for overall excellence in curricular and extracurricular activities. The student must be a senior with no less than a 3.0 cumulative and major grade point average.

The award recipient will attend a special ceremony on Saturday, November 12 in the House of Representatives of the Illinois State Capitol in Springfield. They will be presented with the Lincoln Academy Student Laureate Medallion, a certificate of achievement and the Abraham Lincoln Civic Engagement award in the amount of $1,000.
