The IIT Latino Student Organizations (Arquitectos, Hispanic Alliance for Career Enhancement (HACE), Latinos Involved in Further Education (LIFE), Society of Hispanic Professional Engineering (SHPE) and Undocumented Students and Allies (USA)) and the Vice Provost Office of Student Access, Success, and Diversity Initiatives (SASDI) recognized the Latino graduating class of 2015 on Wednesday, April 29, 2015, in Siegel Hall Auditorium. Spanning all majors in undergraduate, graduate and Ph.D. degrees, over 70 Latino students will graduate in 2015.
Additionally, in collaboration with Chanel Hampton in IIT Institutional Advancement, soon to be graduates met with Amir Badr from internet start-up “Zebraa,” a dynamic, free web platform that connects students to employers. Students learned about the website and opportunities to pay it forward as Illinois Tech alumni.
