Career Services welcomes students and alumni to attend a presentation and skills session on Thursday, September 7 from 6–7:30 p.m. in The McCormick Tribune Campus Center (MTCC) Auditorium. The workshop will be led by Daniel Moser, a consultant and professor at Northwestern University. The session will focus on the development of skills for presenting yourself to others professionally. These personal skill are just as important for success within the professional world as your technical skills.
Attendees will learn:
- Presentation and communication skills that can be applied in a career fair setting
- Speed interviewing exercises (stress-free group practice)
- Personal introduction and “elevator pitch” rehearsal
- Networking practice
Moser specializes in the art and science of communications training for professionals in finance, business, engineering, medical, design, and other technical fields.
