Letters of Intent for AHA Cardiometabolic Health-Diabetes Strategically Focused Research Network

Letters of Intent are being accepted through Tuesday, June 25, for applications to the American Heart Association’s Cardiometabolic Health with a Focus on Diabetes Strategically Focused Research Network. Letters of Intent are not required but are strongly encouraged. The full application deadline is Tuesday, August 13, 2019, at 5 p.m. CDT. The awards will begin on Wednesday, January 1, 2020.

This initiative is to support a collaboration of basic, clinical, and population researchers from different disciplines whose collective efforts will lead to new approaches to study type II diabetes mellitus. Visit the SFRN General Application Information page for details.

A network comprises three to five institutions, or centers, working on projects focused on one strategic area that can assist the AHA in reaching its 2020 goals and overall mission to be a relentless force for a world of longer, healthier lives. Later this year, AHA will add a Health Innovation and Technology (wearables, apps, equipment, etc.) network. Please monitor the website www.professional.heart.org/SFRN for deadline announcements.

Application questions may be emailed to SFRN@heart.org.
