Lifeworks Orientation, Care Now program, and February Heartbeat Newsletter

Lifeworks, Illinois Tech’s Employee Assistance Program, is always coming up with new programs to meet your and your family’s work-life balance needs, but how familiar are you with what they have to offer? Not very? You may want to think about attending an upcoming quarterly orientation webinar. This quarter’s session will take place on February 17, as Noon CST. Click here to register.

CareNow allows users to create their own login credentials, then chat with support professionals; take assessments in physical, financial, mental, and social wellbeing; and go through self-directed programs in a variety of areas. As is the case with most other LifeWorks programs, CareNow is free! To create your account, log in using LifeWorks’ website using IIT’s credentials and click on the CareNow box at the top of the page.

For the month of February, Lifeworks is featuring the mind-body connection in their Heartbeat Newsletter. This month’s articles and videos include, “Understanding the Connection Between Positivity and Physical Health,” “Making the connection: tactics for a healthy mind and body,” and “Connecting Physical and Mental Health With Mindfulness.” Be sure to check out the Heartbeat Newsletter for more on this month’s features, or to view past months’ topics.

As always, Lifeworks is available 24/7 for free and confidential assistance for Illinois Tech Employees and their families. In addition to free, short term counseling services, Lifeworks offers a variety of work/life balance resources including life coaching, LIFT virtual fitness, and more.
