Live Stream of Commencement and Social Media for Friends and Family Back Home

If you are walking in the commencement ceremony this Saturday, May 12 at IIT’s Main Campus, be sure to tell any family and friends who will not attend that they can still participate!  The main ceremony will stream live on the commencement website starting at 9:40 am, and this year we’ve gone interactive.

The commencement website features a live stream of photos, tweets, and other messages for and from graduating students.  You can tweet messages or photos with the hashtag #IITGrads2012 or email them to event+40d70d725d+3b984dec34@mailcomments.coveritlive.com to see them included in the live coverage (you must finish your email with <end> if sending to the coveritlive address.  Folks watching back home can post their comments and well wishes for IIT grads, either by the above methods or directly into the live coverage app on the commencement website.

Check out the commencement site now to see the stream from Thursday night’s Congrats Grads! party at The Bog, hosted by the IIT Alumni Association.

At the end of commencement events the stream of photos and messages will be archived and available for everyone.  Show us your school spirit, your excitement at graduating and heading off to greatness, say hi to friends and family, and just have some fun.  You’ve earned it!

Congratulations, Class of 2011-2012!
