Looking for a Place to Watch the Debate? Here Are a Few Options Near Campus

The first—and possibly only—presidential debate between Vice President Kamala Harris and former President Donald Trump will be air live on ABC Tuesday night at 8. It will also stream on ABC News Live, Disney+, and Hulu, and networks including C-SPAN, NBC 5, and Fox 32 plan to broadcast and stream the debate as well.

One local watch party near campus is hosted by the Chicago Urban League. Doors open at 7:30 for the event at 4510 S. Michigan Ave. In addition to watching the debate, this event will include trivia, prizes, food, and beverages.

Another debate watch party—hosted by Neighbors Who Vote, City Colleges, League of Women Voters of Chicago, Muslim Civic Coalition, and others—will be held at Kennedy-King College (U Building), 740 W. 63rd St. Doors open at 7 p.m. with a pre-debate discussion at 7:30. Pizza will be provided on a first come, first served basis.

Both events are free.
