Chemistry students Guang Yang and Will Blodgett are looking for students interested in starting a student chapter of the Optical Society at Illinois Tech.

The society is a large network of over 20,000 people spanning multiple industries and professions. Optics is applicable to a wide range of majors including biomedical engineering, chemistry, physics, biology, and others. In addition, it is not exclusive to any majors and open to all students.  This society will allow students to connect and network with experts in the many other fields such as spectroscopy, photonics at national and local levels through conferences and guest speakers.
