It is with great sadness that Illinois Tech announces the passing of Angela Jarka on March 20, 2020. Angie suffered from a severe bleeding/clotting disorder, ultimately losing her battle after a long and brave fight.

Angie joined Illinois Tech in October of 2014, where she worked in the School of Applied Technology. Dean Bob Carlson wrote, “To many of us Angie was like a younger sister whose horizons were very bright. Her intelligence, dedication to IIT, and enthusiasm impacted all of us who were privileged to work with her. She leaves a hold in all our hearts.”
