In March 2016, members of the Illinois Institute of Technology Men’s Basketball team volunteered with the Chicago Housing Authority’s Easter Essay Contest. Illinois Tech student-athletes served as the contest’s judges and helped the children paint Easter eggs.

“The kids had a great time at the Easter event,” said Men’s Basketball student-athlete Jason Morris. “We all had a lot of fun, and I met some great people.”

“It was a very fun and rewarding experience for our guys, and we look forward to more Chicago Housing Authority events throughout the summer,” said Head Coach Todd Kelly.
