It’s important to care for your health and wellbeing, be it physical, emotional, or financial. This month, we’re focusing on mental health as part of National Mental Health month. Illinois Tech employees have access to a variety of tools through our health and employee assistance program partners.
Blue Cross Blue Shield resources — members of our BCBS health plan do have a rich behavioral health benefit for providers in the BCBS network. Additional resources for those who may not need regular services, but might need them from time to time include:
- For those without a dedicated therapist, Behavioral Health visits are available through MD Live for any ongoing needs (copays/coinsurance will apply).
- Learn to Live programs help members to identify stumbling blocks to better mental health, and provide tools and support to get them there.
- Well on Target’s Digital Health Hub provides access to mental health providers, as well as videos, articles, podcasts, and more.
TELUS Health EAP resources — remember that TELUS Health is available to Illinois Tech employees and any of their family members who may need their services. These include short term counseling, as well as a variety of support in other areas. Family members may be any relation to the employee (they don’t need to be dependents or live with you). More information and access instructions are on our website here. Their services are free, confidential, and available 24/7. Because of National Mental Health month, TELUS has additional resources available right now as well.
