The Master of Mathematical Finance (MMF) program at Illinois Institute of Technology, a joint program between the Department of Applied Mathematics and the Stuart School of Business, was ranked by The Financial Engineer (TFE) as one of the top financial engineering programs of 2015. The MMF program came in at number 23 on the list, which TFE calls the most comprehensive ranking for financial engineering, financial mathematics, quantitative finance, computational finance, and mathematical finance programs in the United States.
Ranking criteria included whether the program had innovative program offerings such as online courses, evening courses, and part-time options. Programs were also ranked based on details such as the availability of concentrations and internships.
The MMF program, which was also recently ranked among the top financial programs in the nation by Master of Finance Degrees and QuantNet, integrates financial economics, theory of mathematical finance, theory of probability and stochastic processes, applied mathematics, computational mathematics and statistics.
