Traveling for Thanksgiving or winter break and need a good book? Or maybe you’re staying in town and are looking for things to do with your time? Check out what Galvin Library has to combat your break boredom:
Two Collections from Student Organizations Available
The Japanese Film and Animation Society (JFAS) placed their entire collection of more than 100 DVD’s with the library so their film collection could be enjoyed by the entire IIT community. The films are available through the library’s reserve collection so to see a list of available titles, select the course reserves link on the library’s web page and type in JFAS or search JFAS through the course reserves section in the online catalog. Are you unfamiliar with the animated titles in this collection? Check the reviews listed online at amazon to pre-screen your choices.
The Role Playing Game (RPG) student organization also placed their collection of books and manuals for role-playing games with the library’s reserve collection. After clicking on the reserves link, type “RPG” to see a list of games available for checkout.
For your reading enjoyment, Paul V. Galvin Library is pleased to offer a leisure reading section in the library, located in the northwest corner of the upper level.
