On Friday, June 28 at 9:15 p.m., during the university’s maintenance window, the new Mitel voicemail system will go live.
Impacted Communities: Mies and Rice campuses and the Stuart School of Business community, regardless of their physical locations
How Does This Impact Me?
Q: When does the new voicemail service begin?
A: Immediately following the go-live, all new voicemails will be directed to the new Mitel voicemail system.
Q: How will I know that I have a new voicemail?
A: Notification that you have received a new voicemail will shift from the red-light indicator on your desk phone to an email from voicemessage@sip.net.internet2.edu, delivered to your Illinois Institute of Technology email. The voicemail message will be attached to that email.
Q: How do I listen to my voicemail?
A: You can either:
- Click on the email attachment and you will hear the voicemail audio OR
- Just as you do now, press the voicemail button on your desk phone and follow the prompts as guided by the new system
Q: How do I delete my voicemail?
A: You will need to delete your voicemail on both the email environment and the phone voicemail environment:
- Email environment—Delete the email containing the voicemail attachment
- Phone voicemail environment—Follow the prompts after listening to the voicemail message
