NIH Awards Grant to Armour College of Engineering Professor Eric Brey and Colleagues from Washington University to Develop Tools for Tissue Engineering

Eric_Brey.jpgEric Brey, Duchossois Leadership Professor and professor of biomedical engineering, and Mark Anastasio, professor of biomedical engineering at Washington University in St. Louis, have been awarded a $2.5 million grant from the National Institutes of Health (NIH). The funding will expand the team’s efforts to develop better imaging approaches for application to the fields of tissue engineering and regenerative medicine. Brey and Anastasio have pioneered new approaches for assessment and analysis of implanted materials which will guide the development of new tissue engineering therapies for tissue reconstruction and transplantation.
