NSF Funding Opportunity–International Research and Education Network Connections (IRNC)

The National Science Foundation (NSF) announces a solicitation, NSF 20-535, for the International Research and Education Network Connections (IRNC) Base program that supports high-performance network connectivity required by international science and engineering research and education collaborations involving the NSF research community.

High-performance network connections and infrastructure funded by this program are intended to support science and engineering research and education applications, and preference will be given to solutions that provide the best economy of scale and demonstrate the ability to support the largest communities of interest with the broadest services. Funded projects will assist the U.S. research and education community by enabling state-of-the-art international network services and access to increased collaboration and data services. NSF expects to make three to ten awards in production R&E network infrastructure; one to three awards in international testbeds; and  one award in engagement.

If you are interesting in applying for this funding opportunity, please start a routing sheet as soon as possible. As a reminder, proposals must be completed and submitted to OSRP at least two business days prior April 1, 2020.  If you should have any questions, please contact OSRP.
