Office of Digital Learning Professional Development Series: Blackboard Training – Fall 2018

The Office of Digital Learning (ODL) has scheduled Blackboard training sessions for faculty, teaching assistants, and staff during the last two weeks of August.

We are offering four 90-minute sessions that include two face-to-face sessions and two fully remote sessions using Collaborate. The online sessions will open 30 minutes before the scheduled start time.

NOTE: Collaborate is a browser-based conferencing tool that is currently available across the university and is accessible via any Bb course or organization. It also has free, mobile apps available.

We encourage faculty who are new to using Blackboard to participate, but we also invite experienced faculty who have questions about specific features like how to use Blackboard for tests, managing the Grade Center, or reusing content from course to course.

In addition to core functionality, we’ll briefly cover

  • new Bb functionality, like the attendance tool
  • Bb design in the pipeline (e.g., Ultra course design)
  • related tools like Bb Collaborate for online meetings
  • Examity for remote proctoring and Respondus lockdown browser for tests.

An RSVP is not required but is appreciated.
