Office of Student Access, Success, and Diversity Initiatives Hosts Fall STEM Launch

 The Office of Student Access, Success, and Diversity Initiatives (SASDI) will host 50 Chicago Public Schools students from several STEM highs schools and military academies for trebuchet building and testing on Saturday, October 17, 2015 in the John T. Rettaliata Engineering Center, Rooms 104, 119, and 121. This STEM enrichment event is part of year-long programming for STEM Launch, a collaboration between Illinois Tech, CPS, City Colleges of Chicago, and the United States Navy.

Students will build and test their trebuchets outside of the John T. Rettaliata Engineering Center. Afterwards, students will head over to the IIT Pumpkin Launch at the Ed Glancy Field to watch the event and meet with members of the Biomedical Engineering Society.
