Cho Endowed Chair in Engineering and Professor of Chemical and Biological Engineering and Biomedical Engineering. The lecture will take place on Wednesday, April 24, 2024, in the McCormick Tribune Campus Center’s Auditorium beginning at 3:15 p.m., with a reception immediately following at 4:30 p.m. in the McCormick Tribune Campus Center's Pritzker Club. Dr. Cinar will present a lecture titled, “Novel Treatments and Cure of Diabetes—Engineering Challenges and Successes.”

    Department of Applied Mathematics Remembers Karl Menger With Keynote Lecture and More Events

    Join the Illinois Tech Applied Math Department as we honor the legacy of Karl Menger. The Menger Day Celebration will be held April 8-9, 2024, at the Mies Campus. Karl Menger was a faculty member in the Department of Mathematics at Illinois Tech from 1946 to 1971, who influenced many students, fellow faculty members, and friends during his lifetime. Regarded as one of the finest mathematicians of the twentieth century, he made significant contributions to the fields of dimension theory, probability, economics, ethics, geometry, and calculus.
