Researchers at IIT are investigating college student attitudes towards mental health. Participants will attend an on-campus event and complete a 15-minute survey, attend a 30-minute presentation, and then complete another 15-minute survey following the presentation. Participants will receive an email one month later asking them to participate in a 15-minute online follow up survey. For IIT students enrolled in psychology courses, there is an opportunity to earn 1.5 hours of extra credit towards psychology coursework or $10 in Amazon.com gift cards. Participants will receive a choice of compensation:

– Psychology students can choose to earn one hour of credit towards their psychology coursework for completing the first part of the study and a $5 Amazon.com gift card for completing the follow up survey.
– Students can also opt to receive a $5 Amazon.com gift card for participation in the first study session, and another $5 Amazon.com gift card for participation in the follow up survey.
