Performance review season for staff begins in early September, and this year the Office of Human Resources is hosting a series of training sessions for supervisors. These sessions are designed to help supervisors navigate feedback and career growth conversations, and there are options for both live and on-demand training.

Live Training
We will be partnering with TELUS Health, Illinois Tech’s Employee Assistance Program (EAP), who will be providing six courses on the art of giving feedback. As well as Academic Impressions, which will be providing two ‘Career Growth Conversations’ exploring how strengths-based conversations between leaders and employees improve job satisfaction, retention, and psychological safety. You’ll learn the data behind why these conversations work, how to structure them using a proven model, and practice the approach with your peers.
